From the designer:

This spacious master ensuite is in an architecturally designed new home built in the inner south suburb of Griffith in Canberra.

The owner wanted an open-plan and luxurious ensuite with plenty of space, but also to have privacy for the toilet and shower areas.

The ensuite's layout consists of a large Apasier bath in the centre of the room with a feature wall behind the bath to screen the large walk-triple shower and concealed toilet suite behind the wall.

The long vanity cabinets are partially wall-mounted but have a second, lowered section of joinery underneath, which creates an overlapping detail and a bench seat or ledge for extra storage, plants or decorative elements.

Two long vanity cabinets sit on opposite walls facing each other along the length of the room. These are partially wall-mounted but have a second, lowered section of joinery underneath, which creates an overlapping detail and a bench seat or ledge for extra storage, plants or decorative elements.

Long natural marble tops run the length of the joinery providing plenty of bench space around the feature Apasier vessel basins.

High-quality large format Cliffstone porcelain tiles in a French lay pattern both wall and floor give the interior finish a moody feel.  A light white stone on the floor and general walls contrasts with a deeper stone grey tile on the feature wall.

Natural Arabescato marble on the vanity tops ties in very nicely with the grey and white tiles as well matching the stone grey of the freestanding bath and vessel basins.

Spotted Gum timber was introduced as a feature clad overlay on the dividing wall behind the bath, which wraps up and over the ceiling of the bath to form a timber bulkhead which adds warmth and colour to the space.

A recessed alcove sits within this timber-clad wall exposing the grey tile of the blade wall that runs behind.

The combination of high quality materials and fittings provides the homeowners with a luxury space and a timeless interior that will last for years to come.
